The British Computer Society exists to provide service and support to the IS community, including individual practitioners, employers of IS staff and the general public. It is the only professional body able to confer chartered status in all three of the following areas: Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered IT Professional (CITP).

See the BCS main web site for more about the BCS.

...BCS Beds, Bucks & Northants Branch

In 2024 the Bedford and Northamptonshire branches merged to form the Beds, Bucks and Northants branch.

The branch aims to promote at a local level the aims of the BCS and to organise events in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire on subjects of interest to the membership. Almost all our events are free and are open to the public.
